The perfect upgrade from a car, the Beta 2S is Spaceships newest and most refined vehicle. By removing the rear seat, we've created 40% more space inside. It's well-suited for two people looking to travel discreetly with enhanced comfort, privacy, and space. It also includes all essential travel equipment, such as a dual burner cooker, fridge/freezer, full-size double bed with an extendable sleeping option under an awning, water supply, seating for two, air conditioning, and a stereo. Driving a well-designed car like the Beta 2S offers cost savings and advantages over bulky campervans and motorhomes.

Jack's take

The Beta 2S sits at the top of Spaceships' people mover range. It's built for backpackers travelling the east coast or young couples who want something better than the basic options without jumping to a full-size van.

The key difference is space. Spaceships removed the rear seats, so you get noticeably more room than the Alpha or regular Beta. That extra space makes a real difference when you're living in the vehicle for a week or more.

But you're still in a people mover. You can't stand up inside, so cooking and daily life happens outside the vehicle. Outdoor lovers who plan to use campground facilities get the most out of this setup.

This works well for first-timers who want a discreet option — it doesn't scream "tourist van" like some of the brighter coloured vehicles. Just make sure to book campgrounds with facilities. The Beta 2S doesn't have a toilet or shower, so you'll need those amenities on-site.
