Avis Car Rental are one of the world’s most recognised providers of rental cars and operate in more than 5500 locations across 165 countries.

In Australia, Avis have 220 car rental branches located in all states and territories including all major airports and located close to popular business and tourism destinations.

The Avis Australian rental fleet includes cars, passenger vans, commercial vans and utes, buses and truck hire.

The Car Fleet offers both manual and automatic transmission, although the majority of Avis rental vehicles in Australia are automatic as is the case with most Australian rental providers. The fleet includes Economy and Compact cars such as the Kia Rio, Full size vehicles such as the Toyota Camry and its hybrid eco-friendly variant, SUVs in the form of the Mitsubishi ASX, Outlander and Toyota’s Kluger. The Kia Carnival fills the full size Passenger vans or People Movers space. Avis also have a top of the range Signature fleet of luxury vehicles available for hire such as the BMW X5, X3 and a wide selection of Mercedes cars.

Whilst every effort is made by Avis to match your booking request against the vehicle of your choice, Avis does not guarantee a specific make or model and actual vehicles offered in each Avis Car Rental Class may differ by location.

The Avis Bus Fleet provides 12 seater passenger vans such as the Toyota Commuter, which can be driven on a regular full car license, and for larger groups of up to 25 the Mitsubishi Rosa which requires a Light Rigid (LR) license.

Due to the more specialised nature of Bus fleets, their immediate availability may be published as On Request or not listed. Contact the DriveNow Reservations team with your requirements and we will source the vehicle to fulfill your needs.

For those enrolled in Frequent Flyer programs, Avis supports, amongst others, Qantas Frequent Flyer, Air New Zealand Airpoints, British Airways Executive Club and United Airlines Mileage Plus, all of which are available with bookings made through DriveNow, simply produce your airline membership card when collecting your vehicle.
