Woodford Folk Festival
The Woodford Folk Festival brings together over 2000 performers from local, national and international standings to celebrate different cultures and the arts. The festival features something for everybody, including comedy sessions, concerts, writer’s festivals, children’s festival and even circus performances to just name a few. You are bound to find something to see at the 35 venues, surrounded by the picturesque festival village.
Just over an hours drive north of Brisbane, the Woodford Folk Festival is held on a 500-acre parkland on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. The land is located on Jinibara Country and has a strong history with the Jinibara Nation, and their Dreaming places and ceremonial grounds. The land is a dedicated site to support the arts and culture communities, with a strong emphasis on the protection of the local environment. It is also an opportunity to learn about the stories that connect the Jinibara Nation to the land, and with their ancestors.
