Riverboats Music Festival

Held in the twin-towns of Echuca-Moama, the Riverboats Music Festival offers dancing, gourmet food and wine from the Murray region, and of course, talented artists performing all weekend. There is no experience quite like sitting under the overlooking river red gums, next to the Murray River whilst the paddle steamers drift past all weekend. Previous artists include Dan Sullen and Sarah Blasko, as well as a wealth of other Australian talents. The Festival prides itself on being laid-back, inexpensive and one of the prettiest festivals in Australia, and is perfect for music-lovers, nature-lovers and families.

Held in the natural amphitheatre, the Festival is not the only thing to discover in Echuca-Moama. The Murray River is a vital part of Victoria’s ecosystem, with a diverse range of natural flora and fauna to uncover. Travel back in time and discover Port Echuca, with Australia’s largest fleet of steam-driven paddlesteamers, which still operate in a similar fashion to the 1860’s.

The drive from Melbourne to Echuca-Moama is roughly two and a half hours, so why not turn the drive into a holiday and hire a campervan.
