MONA FOMA Festival

MONA FOMA, also known as MOFO, is Mona’s Festival of Music and Art and is celebrating its 10th year in 2018 in what promises to be one of its best. Curated by Brian Ritchie, the bass player of the rock band The Violet Femmes, the annual festival is billed to be the largest contemporary arts festival in Tasmania. Established in 2008, the first festival was headlined by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds in 2009. Since it’s inception, the festival has only grown in acts and attendants.

The festival showcases a variety of art forms from sound, noise, dance, theatre, visual art, performance and new media. With majority of the events free, there is something for everyone to enjoy, whilst also being an opportunity to explore the cultural precincts of Hobart.

While at the festival, why not take the opportunity to explore the rest of Tasmania and hire a campervan. Tasmania is a small island, which makes it easy to explore in its entirety by driving. DriveNow enables you to compare prices and vehicles all in one place, making it the easiest site to book your campervan!
