Different Vehicle Than Expected
When you are booking a rental car, you are booking a ‘category’ type rather than a particular make and model. Rental car companies source vehicles from a number of different vehicle manufacturers and in any one category, they may use 4 or 5 different car models for that one category – Ford, Toyota, Subaru, Audi, Mitsubishi, Mazda, Nissan, Kia, Hyundai, BMW, Skoda, Tesla, Polestar, Cupra, Suzuki, MG, VW or Mercedes.
Specific makes and models within a vehicle category may vary in features and measurements such as passenger seating, luggage capacity, equipment, mileage and engine size, so the images shown online to display a category type should be used as a guide only.
Each vehicle is displayed with ‘or similar’. This term typically refers to a car model that is of the same category or class as the one displayed online, but not necessarily the exact make or model. It also gives the rental car company flexibility to provide a vehicle within the category you selected.
Not all vehicles are available from all locations. Car rental companies turn over their rental fleets on a regular basis and as vehicles move between branch locations and different cities. We are unable to monitor a rental car provider’s fleet movements across a particular country.
As rental car companies will not guarantee that a particular make, model or colour will be available for a specific reservation, DriveNow cannot either.
