Search results start with the cheapest total price. Use the filters to narrow them down to cars that suit your trip.
A car hire search can return a lot of options. The filters help you find the right car quickly.
How results are sorted
Search results are listed by total price, from cheapest to most expensive. The filters sit above the first result.
Filters you can use
- Car type: choose from vehicle categories such as SUV, commercial or sports. You can select more than one. See types of vehicles for what each category means.
- Seats: filter by the total number of seats.
- Fuel: choose hybrid or electric here. Rental companies generally can't guarantee petrol or diesel, so those options are combined.
- Doors: choose 2, 3, 4 or 5-door cars.
- Supplier: show only the rental companies you prefer, such as Hertz, Budget, Europcar or Thrifty.
- Transmission: automatic or manual.
- Depot location: on-airport, off-airport, or standard for locations away from an airport. Our guide to on-airport and off-airport car hire explains the difference.
Before you choose
The cheapest result isn't always the best value. Compare the kilometre allowance, the excess you would be liable for, and the card conditions in the Important information for each quote. Our checklist of features to consider covers what to look for.
