Luggage space in rental cars can be unpredictable due to there being multiple models in a vehicle category that can be allocated to you. To minimise the risk of your luggage not fitting in the vehicle booked, we recommend travelling with soft bags rather than suitcases.
When booking a car hire, you will see luggage capacity listed as “2 small, 1 large”. The car hire providers will each have their own definition of what they class as a small and large bag but generally you can expect small bags to be carry on size and large bags to be an ordinary suitcase size.
As makes and models are not guaranteed, exact luggage capacities cannot be provided by the vehicle provider. The listed luggage capacities for each vehicle category are usually conservative estimates to help avoid disappointment on the collection day.
