No. The good news is that a Campervan, Motorhome or RV can be driven using a standard car driving license. The license must be current, full and valid for at least 12 months, without any restrictions. Your licence must be presented when collecting your rental vehicle along with the licenses of any additional drivers.
Driver licences must be in English or supported by a certified translation or international driving permit. For non-English language-based driving licenses an International Driving Permit is required along with your official driver's licence from the issuing country. Without these documents you will be denied access to the vehicle.
Generally this is 21, however some suppliers such as Jucy and Lucky have a minimum age of 18 with a full driver's license in English or an Australian Green P Plate (P2) licence. A young driver's surcharge fee may be applied. Other providers lower the rental age to 18 for specific vehicles. Contact our Reservations team for specific information about your requirements.
