Luggage
Space is tight in a campervan, so how you pack matters. Here's why soft bags work best, and how to pack if you're picking up near home.
We recommend travelling with soft bags rather than suitcases, to keep as much living space as possible. Hard-shell and fabric suitcases are bulky, and there's usually nowhere to store them, so they take up living space.
Soft bags fold down, so you can pack them away in one of the storage areas. All vehicles have storage compartments, either overhead cupboards, under-seat storage or external lockers.
If you're picking up your campervan in your home town, we suggest collecting it from the branch and returning home to pack. Packing at home means you won’t need to pack bags or take luggage with you. You can put your clothes straight onto the shelves or into the cupboards and wardrobe.
At home, you can also stock the fridge with your favourite ingredients and fill the storage areas with your holiday essentials, such as scooters, helmets, fishing gear, skateboards, boardgames, balls, boogie boards, beach towels, wet suits, beach shades, esky, lantern, outdoor lights, bottles of drinking water, fold-up BBQ and a box of wine.
