Long Term Campervan Hire
Hiring a campervan for three weeks or more? Here's how long-term hire discounts work and how to check whether one has been applied to your quote.
Why book a long-term campervan hire?
Australia's size can surprise first-time hirers and international visitors. If you're planning to see as many places as possible during your hire, you'll need a good plan and enough time to get where you want to go. Our self-drive itineraries show typical distances and driving times.
Benefits of a long-term campervan hire
A longer hire lets you see more places or take your time for a more relaxed trip. There are also usually discounts available. Most rental companies offer a long-term hire discount on bookings longer than 21 or 30 days. These discounts are usually between 5% and 10% off the vehicle rental cost. If you're not sure whether the vehicle you want to book is eligible for a long-term hire discount, or you've seen a cheaper price elsewhere, contact our reservations team for assistance.
How to book
Long-term hire discounts are almost always applied automatically once you've selected enough travel dates during booking. To check whether a long-term hire discount has been applied, look for an icon in Step 2 of the booking page that reads “Special: Bonus - This rate includes a saving on the standard daily vehicle rental cost”. Because long-term hire discounts are generally built into the rental rate once you've selected enough dates, they won't show in the payment details area.
