Snow games

There are five ski fields within an hour and a half of central Queenstown. They cater for all levels of ability, from the never-seen-snow-before-in-my-life to the serious skier or boarder. Luge

It's a bit like go-karting, except it's on a downhill slope a short drive from the centre of Queenstown, and offers a stunning view of the city and surrounding vista - this is especially spectacular when the mountains get that gorgeous snow-capped look about them throughout winter. You don't even have to walk back to the top of the track either, catch the lift back up as many times as you can handle!
