There’s no better time of year to visit the UK than summer. From June to August the countryside is green, flowers are blooming and it’s the time of year that you’ll enjoy the best English summer events.

Here are five hot English summer events you won’t want to miss.

Glastonbury Festival

26 – 30 June, 2019 The beautiful, historic village of Pilton is the home of the world-famous Glastonbury Festival. The Pyramid Stage has historically offered the most high-profile attractions (including Ed Sheeran, Foo Fighters, Lorde, Radiohead and Katy Perry). But some of the best experiences are on the outskirts. Each area has its own character with special attractions – from Dance Village to the Shangri-La night time district and the Circus and Theatre fields.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2019

30 May – 14 July, 2019 A warning for cricket fans… if your in London during summer then you definitely want the ICC Cricket World Cup at the top of your English summer events list! Watch the game play out as the world’s top teams go head to head at The Kia Oval as the summer tournament kicks off. Then watch the champions take their prize at Lord’s. There’ll be 10 matches in London with the rest to take place around the countryside.

Taste of London in Regent’s Park

19 – 23 June, 2019 For five days in summer every year, Londoners can tempt their tastebuds at Taste of London. London’s top restaurant owners and chefs descend on Regent Park, turning it into paradise for foodies. Sample delicious creations at more than 200 food and drink stalls. You can also watch live cooking demonstrations, attend masterclasses and meet some of London’s top chefs.

Notting Hill Carnival

24 – 27 August, 2019 Join Europe’s biggest street festival in west London. You won’t believe your eyes when you see Caribbean music, colours and food fill the streets. Notting Hill Carnival also features an unmissable carnival parade, which includes elaborate floats and dancers fill the streets with their beautiful costumes. It’s such an unforgettable vibe.

British Summer Time Hyde Park

5 July & 12 – 14 July, 2019 The most iconic names in music take to the stage at Hyde Park every summer. One of the world’s most successful female singers of all time, Celine Dion, will kick off the event as this year’s headline feature on July 5. The Canadian is known for her incredible live shows. The line-up for the weekend after includes top names like Florence + the Machine and Robbie Williams, to name a few.
