New Ultra Compact Motorhome for couples road-tripping the USA

Cruise America's vehicle livery might not be to everyone's taste,  however, their vast network of depots, vehicle selection, roadside assistance and especially their rental prices makes them the undisputed king of the RV rental scene in the USA.

In JULY 2026 Cruise America's new Ultra Compact Motorhome will be launched.  Firmly placed in the 'couples' market, it's their smallest ever vehicle seating and sleeping just 2 people.  As far as amenities go it still has a bathroom, fridge, kitchen and dinning facilities just like the vehicles designed to accommodate 4, 5 and 7 people. Smaller in size means they are easier to navigate,  especially for first timers, but also you are only travelling with exactly the space you need.

Meet the Ultra Compact C18 

Length: 5.94m, Width: 2.16m, Height: 3m.

Main Features:

Kitchen:- electric cooktop, mini fridge.

Bathroom:- freshwater toilet and shower.

Bed:- day time seating that converts to bed.

Heating and Cooling:- electric heater,  air conditioning in drivers cabin only.

NB, all Cruise America vehicles have automatic transmissions and power steering .

I can confirm from personal experience, these are powerful vehicles that are 'car like' to drive, they are very similar to the small motorhomes that DriveNow rents extensively in Europe, Australia and New Zealand, and are most certainly nothing to be scared of.  The cabin is very comfortable for your driving days, with lovely large side mirrors.

In a country with roads, car parks and campsites made for RV road-trippers, even international RV virgins will find this vehicles hard to go past. When for the first time in many years Cruise America, the experts in their field, bring out a new vehicle , we all sit up and take notice.
