Folk By The Sea

Kiama, September 27-29

Kiama will host the 6th Folk by the Sea Festival. Iconic Australian singer-songwriter Neil Murray has been announced as the lead of an already a stellar line-up of 51 acts, with a mix of international, national and local artists set to impress by the seaside.

Murray’s songs have been recorded by artists ranging from Missy Higgins and Powderfinger to Adam Brand and Jimmy Little, while his best-known song is Christine Anu’s version of his iconic ‘My Island Home’ setting the stage for a performance not to be missed.

The event boasts a mix of ticketed and public events with over 100 artists and 100 concerts, dances and sessions for attendees to enjoy.

Bathurst Winter Festival

Bathurst, Until July 21

Get in quick, it’s all happening in Bathurst for their annual event which runs until July 21.

The all ages Winter Playground is the place for fun, amusement and adventure day or night. Packed with the McDonald’s Bathurst Ice Rink, ferris wheel, two storey carousel and an evening light show there is no better place to experience winter than right here.

End2End Festival

Pokolbin, September 14

The End2End Festival will delight the senses and tickle the tastebuds. Featuring multiple venues, over 20 of Hunter Valley Wine Country’s famous wineries, local gourmet food, live music, celebrity chefs, beef and big reds, Semillon and seafood, and boutique brews.

Hop on and off the End2End shuttle bus at any of the four venues through the day, relax with a glass of wine while listening to some tunes and indulge in decadent gourmet delights.

Singleton Show – Australian Wife Carrying Championships

Singleton, September 27-28

Wife Carrying (pictured) is exactly how it sounds, believe it or not, men carrying wives (or girlfriends, sisters, cousins or friends) through an obstacle course that includes sand, water and hurdles. The team with the fastest time through the obstacle course wins the title!

The Singleton Show also has all the traditional show attractions including horse events, showjumping, side show alley, magician, rodeo, educational displays, stalls, beef and dairy cattle judging and cooking and handcrafts.

Wildfest 2019

Southern Highlands, October 4-27
