Byron Bay is only a two hour drive south of Brisbane, which makes it the perfect destination for a short getaway. The coastal town is famous for its beaches and it full of tourists in the summertime. But many find it’s actually better to visit in the cooler months, when the town is less busy and you have some of the stunning attractions all to yourself.
It’s probably a good idea to start thinking about this trip as autumn approaches! Pick up your cheap car hire deal from DriveNow at Brisbane Airport and let your journey begin.

There’s always a place to grab a campervan along the central area of Australia’s east coast, whether it be from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne, and most road trippers usually stick to the destination allure of hugging the coastline going from one sunny seaside location to another.

Only […]

LEAVING behind the bitter cold of Armidale, we head out to the coast to Ballina. It’s an awesome drive, very easy going, but just make sure you take your campervan via Glen Innes and then head out to the coast. That’s the best road when in a camper or towing a caravan. There’s some stunning scenery along the way, too, and for once we had no hiccups! When arriving at Ballina you can feel the buzz. It is a vibrant little place and the beaches are awesome. We stayed at Big4 Shaws Bay, which is right on the water […]

IT is an easy drive from Ballina to Toowoomba, especially with the new highways making driving your campervan a lot more pleasant experience around the Gold Coast and Brisbane. It’s just the last steep haul up to the top of the mountain that can be hard going. Mind you, it wasn’t until we left that we realised the problems that it caused – those damn brakes again!
Toowoomba is world famous for its amazing gardens and even though I wouldn’t normally look sideways at a garden, these have to be seen to be believed. It is just awesome to see […]
