Vienna is a quintessential European city. Overflowing with history, streets filled with stunning architecture and classical music icons virtually everywhere you look - a visit to Vienna is a cultural extravaganza, where the streets are as beautiful as they are welcoming. Lonely Planet listed Vienna at number eight in its Best in Travel 2015, and it could have ranked higher. One day you could be exploring the city's grand Imperial architecture and enjoying the works of the great composers who called the city home - Haydn, Beethoven, Strauss, Brahms and more. The next day, you're hopping between the quality coffee houses of the Vorstadt, popping into the many outstanding museums, and partying the night away in the city's top clubs. Sometimes, wandering through the historic streets of Vienna can feel like you've stepped back in time into a fairytale, yet, turn a corner and you're right back in a modern, thriving 21st-century city.

Airlines and Terminals

Vienna International Airport is located 19 kilometres southeast of the city in Schwechat, and is the main international airport in Austria. The airport's four terminals serve international airlines (terminals 1, 2 and 3) and various low-cost European carriers (terminal 1A). Around 22 million passengers use the airport annually.
