Melbourne airport has long and short-term car parks as well as two Business Park facilities. All operate all day, seven days a week. Additionally there are long Car Park Operators outside the Airport, particularly around Mickleham Road in Tullamarine approximately 3kms from the airport.
The rates quoted below should be used as a guide only. Please use the Melbourne Airport Car Parking Calculator or contact the Car Park Operator for the latest rates and for your specific parking needs. Note that Melbourne Airport charges a surcharge of 2% for American Express and Diners Club cards.
Short Term Parking
- Short-term parking is located in the multi-story car park directly in front the terminals and has two covered walkways across to the terminal buildings. Immediately above the multi-Storey car park is the Melbourne Airport Hilton hotel.
- A Quickies in the Car Park option charges just $2 for 20 minutes for those seeing off friends and family or welcoming loved ones home.
- Rates (as of April 08) for Short term parking travel from around $10 per hour up to $42 per day and additional days are at $42 or part there on.
- Tickets are issued on entry and remember to keep it with you and not to leave it in your car. Payment needs to be made via the automatic pay machines located at the entrances to the Terminal walkways and on the Ground floor. Alternatively payment can be made at the Customer Service Office on the ground level.
Long Term Parking - Multi-Level Car Park
- The Multi-storey car park also offers undercover long stay parking and is located to the rear of the Short Stay parking area on level 3.
- Enter the Short-term parking and take a ticket or enter your credit card in the ticket machine at the boom gate. Proceed up the drive to level 3 and turn right towards the Multi-Level Long term parking entrance. You need to re-enter your ticket or credit card to be validated for the long-term rates.
- Rates (as of April 08) start from $40 per day for the first 2 days and then drop considerably to $90 for three days and $120 per week.
Long Term Car Park
- The cheapest parking is at Melbourne Airport's Long Term Car Park around 400 metres from the terminals. This has a free
courtesy bus service that runs every 20 minutes, 24 hours a day. There is no need to pre book and with close to 7,000 spots there's plenty of room. Should it be full there are additional parking locations that you will be directed to.
- Rates (April 08) start from $25 a day, $45 for three days and $69 per week. 11 day stays incur $105 and thereafter it's $5 per day.
- Payment can be made using the machines located outside the arrivals area in the Terminals before you jump on the shuttle bus or if you can use your credit card on entering the car park and when exiting with a receipt automatically being issued.

Business Car Park
- Located just 50 metres from either end of the Terminals the Airport operates 2 Business Car Parks offering secure undercover parking.
- Rates (April 08) commence from $42 per day, $125 for three days and $245 per week.
- A weekend special runs from 12 noon on Friday until Midnight on Sunday offering a 50% discount with a rate of just $45.
- Payment can be made by Credit card only by swiping your card on entry and exit.

- Offering secure under cover parking, United Parking operates around the clock with three Mercedes
courtesy buses to shuttle you quickly in and out of the airport.
- There's no need to book simply drive up to the Boom gates, insert your credit card or take a ticket, park your car and there's no need to hand in your keys.
