After picking up my Sydney car rental, there were two options for trekking up north to charming Nambucca Heads for a week stay. One, the six hour or so journey along the Pacific Highway, or a longer trip tackling the exotically named Thunderbolts Way would take the best part of nine hours without any breaks. The shorter option won the vote in our car.
Nambucca Heads is a fascinating place and if ever you have doubted graffiti being an artform for the right reasons, the city’s mighty Vee Wall Breakwater will put paid to your reservations.

Where is Tin Can Bay? Just near Gympie in Queensland, that’s where, and only a leisurely three-hour drive in a campervan rental from Brisbane or a quick-fire 45-minute cruise if you pick up a Car Rental in Noosa.
And boy, what a great little spot it is. Tin Can Bay is a very sleepy little coastal village, with some of the most stunning scenery. The beautiful harbour area is just fantastic dotted with a ton of yachts and people enjoying the area. It’s great for fishing, water sports and a super spot to explore the area.

WE decided to try out somewhere close to Melbourne, our hometown, but somewhere where it felt like we were on holiday.
So after a bit of research we chose Nagambie. This small town is only 90 minutes north of Melbourne, a great little place with all the services you need and a great little Victorian road trip. It has a great pub and an incredibly good bakery. In fact, people head from Melbourne to Nagambie for one reason – just to go to this bakery! There is nothing better than a loaf of extra-fresh bread.
