7 ways to escape to Adelaide for a weekend away

Mt Lofty

The summit also has a gift shop and interactive touch screens which tell you more about the summit and nearby tourist attractions.

Glenelg

Only 10km from Adelaide's CBD, Glenelg is famous for it's white sandy beaches. Dine at Glenelg's trendy bars or restaurants, admire Holdfast Bay's stunning coastline from the Glenelg Pier or go for a dip in this popular swimming spot.

Adelaide Hills

The countryside in the Adelaide Hills resembles a fairytale. Admire the gorgeous flowers and charming streets in Stirling, arguably one of the prettiest towns in South Australia. Drink beer and go strawberry picking at Australia's oldest German settlement, Hahndorf. Visit Melbas chocolate factory nearby, or simply get lost as you drive around the Adelaide Hills and admire the hidden towns which the guidebooks don't tell you about!

Drive along the beach at Goolwa and you'll arrive at the mouth of the mighty Murray River. Goolwa is well-known for its beautiful scenery but it's also home to many historic sites and popular cafes. Goolwa is even a perfect spot to spend an afternoon fishing.
