ABOUT 380km north west of Brisbane, Lake Cania is an easy spot to reach for a cool Queensland road trip idea.
Lake Cania itself is situated just north of the Cania Gorge. The lake has a capacity of 88,500 megaliters, so they tell me. There are many facilities available at the dam which caters for some great fishing and other water sports with boat ramp access, picnic areas, public conveniences, kiosk and two camping and caravan parks.
